Today while experimenting I learned there is a way to make your useless monster hunters petition for citizenship. You just have to kill them and resurrect them as an intelligent undead. They'll come back as a normal resident.

A guy came as a monster slayer. I noticed him because he was angry, so I tried to assign him to a squad. But he doesn't come up in the list of people who can be put into squads. On his control / information panels I saw he had "monster slayer", or something similar, enabled on his the locations sub tab on his work panel. I clicked it off.
